With an entertainment career spanning seven decades, Eve Arden's break out role on old time radio was on the Danny Kaye Show skyrocketing her career in radio due to her comedic timing and popular appeal.  She made appearances on Lux Radio Theatre for the productions of "Stage Door", "She Knew All The Answers", and "The Showoff."  She landed the title role of Our Miss Brooks on old time radio in 1948.

Landing a role in the film Song of Love, Eve Arden played a wisecracking friend as Maisie LeRoy.  She played similar roles in Oh, Doctor as Shirley Truman; Stage Door as Eve; and Mildred Pierce as Ida Corwin (received an Academy Award Nomination).  Film roles include At the Circus with the Marx Brothers and Anatomy of a Murder with Jimmy Stewart as his secretary.  In the film version of Our Miss Brooks, she finally married Mr Boyton.  She filled the memorable role of Principal McGee in the movies Grease and its sequel Grease II
